How do we design a postcard without
the product being released to the public? 3D imagery to the
rescue. At the point in time this postcard was produced for
the Cleveland Visitor's Bureau, the Apple iShuffle wasn't
even available for the consumer market.
BFL, needed an image large enough
for their postcard and I modeled one from scratch, including
two earbuds. No specs were given and modeled it completely
from eye. A tight deadline and budget only allowed for speedy
work but to be done right the first time.
A alternate ad, reminicent of
the Apple iPod advertisiments, was created as specified by
the agency's creative director. Although ALL photography including
the girl, the player's 3D representation and location shots
were my property, for copywrite purposes, they chose to go
with the green card. Good Idea!!
A package design was also created
for an iShuffle "Giveaway" for the tradeshow booth.
The package design was concept only.
